About Nathan Johnson

Hi, my name is Nathan Johnson, and I want to share a short biography with you.

I grew up in Moses Lake, Washington, where I have attended the Moses Lake Assembly of God Church since I was 4 years old. I was home schooled grades 1 through 12 and the majority of my weekly activities were with the church. I enjoyed being a part of such programs as "Bible Quiz" and "Royal Rangers."

I became very involved in the Royal Rangers program, eventually earning the Gold Medal of Achievement (GMA) and earning the title of "Northwest Ranger Of The Year" two years in a row.

In 1997, I traveled to Moscow, Russia to teach character to school children with IBLP at the invitation of the Russian Minister of Education. During my time in Moscow I felt God calling me to return to Russia and serve children and orphans.

Upon returning to the States, I enrolled in Mt. Zion School Of Ministry, founded by David Wilkerson, and began courses in Biblical Studies. I studied for two years at Mt. Zion and then transferred to Berean School Of The Bible for another two years.

In May of 2003, after completing my studies, I joined John Shane and the team from New Hope Outreach to serve orphans in Perm, Russia. As I continued living and ministering in Perm, I became acquainted with some of the staff of Youth With A Mission (YWAM) Perm. In 2004 I enrolled in the Discipleship Training School (DTS) and joined YWAM staff.
